Winter is coming...keep your toes warm with Rampant Sporting!

Good evening lovely people!

(Yes I just made a Game of Thrones reference in my title...I don't even watch the show...popular culture eh?)

So this week I was lucky enough to receive a rather awesome parcel from the lovely people at Rampant Sporting.

"What was in the parcel?! What was in the parcel?!" I hear you chant excitedly. Well everyone, (starting to sound like a children's tv presenter now...guilty!) in the bag were 5 pairs of Rampant Sporting's famous UK made socks!

Left to right: Collinson Rugby Sock, Grey Strike Socks (unfortunately no longer available), Collinson Sunday Sock, China Rugby Sock, Wisteria Rugby Sock.

I now own a wonderful assortment of brightly coloured, cosy socks, perfect for this time of year, just as the cold weather starts to creep in. There are four pairs of "rugby" socks and one pair of "sunday" socks.

With the help of my housemate (thanks Aim), I did a little 'sock photo shoot'. Please excuse the posy, cheesiness of some of the pictures...rest assured, I have no intention of pursuing a career in modelling!!

So first up, here are the Collinson Sunday Socks.

They are described on the website as "stripy ribbed ankle socks with a turned over top" - pretty accurate I'd say! I wore this pair the other day and they are super comfy. I didn't actually wear them as a lounge-type sock. I wore them with a new pair of trainers and because they're nice and thick, they kept the blisters at bay - perfect! I love that they are in Rampant Sporting's signature colours too.

Now onto the rugby socks - I had three lovely pairs of these to choose from (and a pair of Strike Socks) but I only photographed two pairs because, typically, I decided to try to do this little photo shoot on the hottest day in September...great timing for warm socks I know! Thanks Indian Summer...

Above are the Wisteria Rugby socks. These are great, I love the colour combination of the blue and coral. The socks themselves are comfy and fit well. For those of us who might think their chunky calves won't fit in this kind of sock, think again, these are nice and stretchy. Also, you can fold them to suit your leg length if you're as vertically challenged as I am!

Finally there's the Strike Socks in Grey. I wore them as a bed sock kind of thing yesterday evening and they are so comfortable that I nearly forgot to take them off before I went to sleep. I love the colour of them and the fit is good, again they can be rolled over to suit your leg length.

As you can see here, they look cool with a pair of denim shorts! Another idea would be to wear them with wellies - you could fold them down over the top to give your wellies a new look - who said outdoor activity can't be a style statement?!

FYI, I'm not hiding under a rug, that's the edge of my bed!
This totally wasn't supposed to be as posed as it looks - Amy was making me laugh but I thought she was just taking a picture from the knee down *face palm*

I have size 4 feet and the "Small" size is a good fit for me. There is a size guide on the website so that you can be sure to get your perfect fit!

If you're interested in buying a pair of these you can order them online at http://www.rampantsporting.com - be sure to take a look at the other stuff on the website too - I'm definitely eyeing up a jumper or too ready for the winter!

Happy shopping!

xoxo
