For the love of stationEry...eat cake for breakfast!

Let's all take a Wednesday evening break, have a cuppa and talk about my new Kate Spade journal. 


Yes, my love of stationery has gone so far that I am actually dedicating a blog post to it! (And taking the opportunity to make a quick aside about how much it infuriates me when people spell stationery wrong! There is a difference between stationAry and stationEry you know?!)

So, let's take a look at it, it's a beaut!

I didn't actually go out looking for a journal, I kind of just tripped and fell in and out of the shop and came home with this bright pink ray of sunshine. I bought it from Jolie Papier in Bluewater for £15 (it's a little exravagant for a notepad I know, but come on, isn't it wonderful?!). 

It has a canvas-y clothbound cover and lined pages inside. Not to mention the fact that it has a gold foil accent that reads 'EAT CAKE FOR BREAKFAST' emblazoned on the front of it...an important life message I feel (just kidding, have porridge or fruit kids!). 

It also has gold polka dot pages at the front and back of the book before you get to the lined paper - so cute! 

Another design feature of this journal that I love is the multi-coloured ribbon bookmarks that really give it an extra pop of colour!

Finally it has the Kate Spade logo on the back, also in a gold foil accent. The contrast between the pink and the gold really works well I think!

So yeah I'm a little bit in love...if it's possible to be in love with an item of stationery...I'm not materialistic...*gazes lovingly at journal*. 

"So what are you gonna do with this journal then Danii?", I hear you ask. Well, the plan is for it to be a place for me to write down all of my blogging ideas and plan posts...because as you can probably tell, planning posts isn't really my strength and I tend to just go along with whatever comes to mind! 

So there it is, the secret is out. Hi, I'm Danii...and I'm a stationery addict...
