It's been...well..a good while since I last posted - sorry about that! I've been swept away with life recently and haven't had much time to blog. But don't worry, my life isn't usually that exciting and I'm getting write back on the blogging train! So, here goes nothing!

Yes I just rediscovered ClipArt...what of it?! http://www.clipartlord.com/category/transportation-clip-art/train-clip-art/ |
This is the kitchen appliance to end all kitchen appliances. The bees knees. The best thing since sliced bread! It's not a juicer or a blender. It is an 'extractor', which means that it extracts all of the important nutrients from anything you put in it so that it's in its most absorptive form. Basically, it helps you get the best out of your food and I love the results!

It's a fairly small appliance, suitable for all kitchens! |
I started off by just chucking whatever fruit we had in the house into the cup - a banana, mango, pineapple, blueberries, strawberries and kiwi is a pretty good combination as it turns out! But as time went on I got braver and tried out some smoothie recipes I had found online and in the recipe book that comes with the Nutribullet!
You literally just pop your fruit and or veg into the cup, add a bit of water, screw the blade onto the bottom and push it into place on the top of the machine. Leave it to "extract" until it looks like a drinkable smoothie and ta da - pour it into a glass and you're done!
Recently I've been trying to make the smoothies a little more substantial so I usually add a couple of tablespoons of fat free natural yogurt to it, which I find works pretty well!
The most recent additions to my smoothies are some nutritional supplements. I'm going to the gym 4 times a week nowadays, so I need to make sure I'm getting all the nutrients I need. So, I add a teaspoon of: flaxseed, sunflower and pumpkin seed mix, wheatgrass powder, chia seeds and some Herbalife protein powder (formula 3).
All available at Holland and Barrett except Herbalife protein powder (available from your local distributor or email enquiries to oliver.r.e.bennett@gmail.com) |
So yeah, that's the Nutribullet for you! I highly recommend it - it really does make a super smooth smoothie. Even when you put nuts and seeds in it and don't peel your fruit - amazing! You can also put ice cubes in with your ingredient if you like your smoothies to be a bit colder, so that's useful.
It's great for me because I never give myself enough time to eat breakfast in the morning. I always seem to be in a rush no matter what time I get up *despairs*, so a Nutribullet smoothie is my go to 'breakfast on the go' option!

A perfect representation of me in the morning...http://pixgood.com/frazzled-woman.html |
Did I mention I love my Nutribullet?! You too could have a 'fruitful' experience if you buy one online from Amazon for £99.99 - it truly is a worthwhile investment - go forth and extract!
Thanks for reading and happy blending/juicing/extracting...whatever you want to call it!
xoxo
P.S. This post is not sponsored...I'm just a crazy Nutribullet lady...
(Feel free to send me stuff though Nutribullet people...just an idea!)
